Standardisation meets innovation: from circular ideas to market-ready solutions

The event will bring together policymakers, researchers, industry representatives and standardisation experts to explore how industrial-urban symbiosis can foster more sustainable and circular cities. It will highlight the role of CEN and CENELEC in supporting innovation through standardisation and showcase the latest progress of the United Circles project, including a new pre-standardisation initiative for circular infrastructure.

On 5 December 2025, United Circles with BeBOP project participated in the online workshop “Uniting Projects and Standards for Circular Impact”, an event dedicated to strengthening the dialogue between European projects and the standardisation community, bringing research closer to technical standardisation, and accelerating the definition and adoption of circular approaches across value chains.
United Circles General Assembly
10-12 June, 2025 Copenhague, Denmark
From June 10th to 12th, the United Circles consortium gathered for its General Assembly. Hosted by Gate2Horizon, this two-day event was a key moment for reconnecting, reflecting on progress, and reinforcing shared ambitions for systemic change through circularity.
